PR, BRAND BUILDING & FUNDRAISING CONSULTANT

Since the beginning of April, I have been thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Castle Howard on their corporate relations and sponsorship for high profile events like the proms and Christmas at Castle Howard.

Castle Howard is one of Britain’s finest and most recognisable historic houses and home to the Howard family for over 300 years. It is situated just outside York in the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Castle Howard, home of Brideshead Revisited, are for the first time offering new corporate opportunities for businesses in York, Yorkshire and beyond. With a diverse variety of events across the season, businesses can now get their brand in front of  visitors from across the region and around the world at events like the Classic Car and Motor Show, Festival of Flowers, the Castle Howard Triathlon and of course the much loved and anticipated Proms, which takes place this summer on Saturday 3rd August.

The Proms at Castle Howard is always a very special, memorable evening: the hugely popular outdoor classical concert is set against the glorious backdrop of the house, overlooking the spectacular lake and grounds. It is an unmissable evening filled with musical entertainment for all the family. The musical celebration starts with a Spitfire flypast and will culminate with rousing favourites for flag-waving and singing along, including Rule Britannia and Land of Hope & Glory, as thousands of lasers and fireworks light up the sky.

Now in its 28th year, it is one of the largest UK Proms concerts outside Hyde Park, attracting around six thousand people, so a great time for businesses to align themselves with Castle Howard. This year we are delighted to be working with Queen Ethelburga’s College, Yorvale, Masons Yorkshire Gin, Rudgate Brewery, Priory Vodka, Crow Recruitment and Harrogate Water as well as recognisable names who want to advertise in this year’s proms programme.

John Hoy, CEO at Castle Howard said, “We are delighted to work with businesses who want to support the work we do and understand the benefits of aligning themselves with the ethos of Castle Howard”.

Businesses can enjoy sponsorship benefits including opportunities to entertain clients and staff, promoting their brand and products at events, an allocation of tickets for the event being sponsored, marketing and PR to promote your business before and during events.

The exiting calendar of events gives businesses the opportunity to get their brand in front of a captive audience. Events at the castle attract a wide audience with some visitors bringing three or four generations to events. The dedicated team and myself will work with businesses to ensure any sponsorship packages are maximised to their full potential.
